The Red Wellies Select XI team will take on Celebrity United at the Walks Stadium, King’s Lynn, which will kick off at 1.30pm followed by an auction at 4.30pm.

Celebrity United players will include Ayden Callaghan, Charlie Wernham and Fabrizio Santino who play Joe, Robbie and Ziggy Roscoe and also Aaron Fontaine who plays Sonny Valentine.

Allyson Ingamells, Chairman for Red Wellies said: “This is an important event for The Lisa Wiles Red Wellies Brain Tumour Support Fund to raise awareness of the lack of funding made available for brain tumour cancer in this country.

“Lisa Wiles put great enthusiasm and energy into raising funds before her death in 2012 and we carry on her exceptional efforts in her name.

“We rely on the support of local people to make events such as this a success and urge people to attend and enjoy a great family fun day out.”

Celebrity United side is captained by the ex-England and Watford player Luther Blissett.

Other players include former Welsh International Andy Legg, former Watford player David Johnson, and former international, Watford and Peterborough player, Derek Payne.

Players for the Red Wellies team include King’s Lynn Town FC manager, Gary Setchell, Fakenham Town manager, Jake Watson, Ryan Mark Taylor from KLFM, plus a host of other players.

Cameron Wiles-Ellis, Lisa Wiles’ son, is playing for the Red Wellies side.

He said: “Anything that I can be a part of in relation to this Charity means a lot to me. I know my family will be watching from the stands.

To play against Luther Blissett, a former England international, is an honour in itself. I’m hoping it will be a day of very successful fundraising, huge enjoyment and importantly, a good game of Football.”

The event will have many attractions including a bouncy castle, children roundabouts, shooting gallery, face painting and glitter tattoes and sweet stalls.

A souvenir programme will be on sale and celebrities will be available to sign autographs.

The auction will be 4.30pm in the Linnet Lounge which will include signed shirts from Kings Lynn Town FC, Fakenham Town and Norwich City.

There will also be a Red Wellies t-shirt from the cast of Emmerdale provided by Lesley Dunlop who plays Brenda in the soap her character has a brain tumour.

Caroline Quentin has kindly donated two tickets to her play ‘Relative Values” at the Pinter Theatre, in London’s West End, along with a private back stage pass and tour with Caroline herself.

Tickets are available on the day and can be purchased in advance from Sainsbury’s Hardwick store, The Lounge and Double G Clothing in King’s Lynn and Fakenham Town FC.
