Over the last couple of years Active Fakenham has given Hannah Brodie, 24, and Adam Gooch, 18, the opportunity to work on their events and they have produced hundreds of creative videos and photographs.

Ms Brodie, from Fakenham, said: “I always love filming the Active Fakenham events as they are always very fun with so much going on. Richard always gives me the freedom to be creative and push the boundaries with my videos, which gives me a great opportunity to showcase my work as a local photographer and videographer.

“Staying active and bringing people together is something I strongly support, and I really enjoy supporting the town I grew up in and which is still my local town.”

The first film Ms Brodie produced for Active Fakenham in 2015 proved to be a big hit in the town and was shown at the Hollywood Cinema for a week. She is now booked to film the Active Fakenham music festival on August 18 and the Ride North Norfolk Sportive which starts at the Fakenham Community Centre on August 26.

Mr Gooch, from Dereham, is a member of Fakenham’s East Coast Riders cycle club and this encouraged him to take up photographing the town’s sporting events.

“I only took up cycling seriously in the last few years and race Cyclocross for East Coast Riders. I tend to film or take photos of sports or events but will turn my hand to most things,” he said.

“I enjoy working with Active Fakenham as they allow me creative freedom with my work and it also enables me to take photos of sport which are my preferred subject matter.”

The pair recently helped record Active Fakenham’s Easter Fun Day and races. Mr Gooch took the photographs, while Ms Brodie filmed and edited a short video.

Richard Crook, chair of Active Fakenham, said that the work of the photographers has been a “great success”

He said: “We are very lucky to have these talented people available to help us out. I would also like to mention the great photographic work done for us by established local photographers Keith Osborn and Matthew Usher.”
