All residents who were moved from a failing care home in Great Yarmouth have reportedly settled in happily in their new accommodation.

Following the decision to close Abbeville Residential Care Home in Wellesley Road in January some 19 residents living there had to be moved.

Norfolk County Council said this week that one resident had sadly passed away during the process but the other residents had all now successfully been moved.

A spokesman said: “Reviews have taken place following the moves which have found that individuals have settled well into their new homes.

“Feedback from families has also been positive with particular praise for the support and advice provided by the social work team.”

Throughout the process staff at Abbeville continued to support residents and assisted in preparing them for their moves.
