Many different breads were on offer as Bircham Windmill held its third annual Bread Festival yesterday.
Visitors could take part in a number of bread-related activities including painting a roll, a bread hunt, a bread quiz and baking their own loaf.
However the undoubted crowd favourite was judging the staff bread competition, which saw 10 entries with a wide variety of breads to be tasted.
Competition was fierce and entrants included breakfast bread, which contains mushroom, onion, tomato, bacon and sausage, and chocolate orange bread.
Ellie Chalmers, who runs the mill along with her husband Steve, said: “The staff bread competition is always popular. It is nice to be able to taste the bread and judge it, everyone wants to be the judge. People seem to absolutely love it.
“We’ve been pretty busy despite the early start, which is great.”
