A third person has died after a crash on the A47 at Wendling on Christmas Eve.

It was reported that a 69-year-old Norwich woman who was driving from the Norwich direction suffered two broken legs, a broken right arm, broken pelvis and internal bleeding after the crash at 2.35pm.

But police confirmed today that this woman died on January 15 after being on a life support machine.

She is yet to be named.

John and Patricia Knight from Aylestone, near Leicester were travelling towards Dereham to spend Christmas with family when their car was involved in the accident. Mrs Knight, 76, died at the scene, and her husband, 77, died four hours later at the Norfolk and Norwich University Hospital.
