Members of a fire and rescue team returning to base from training exercises helped out at the scene of a road crash that partly blocked the A47 road between Norwich and Dereham this afternoon.
Crews from Norfolk Fire and Rescue Service's Dereham-based USAR (Urban Search and Rescue) team came across the accident at about 3.40pm, close to the junction with the B-road to Dereham and Swanton Morley.
There were reports that the single vehicle involved had gone into central reservation barriers.
Ambulance service staff went to the scene. It was not clear whether anyone was injured, although a fire and rescue service spokeswoman said there was no fire and nobody was trapped.
