A man has been taken to Addenbrooke’s Hospital after a collision between two lorries on the A11.

Emergency services were called to the Fiveways to reports of two HGVs colliding just before 11am this morning.

Three fire crews were called from Brandon, Bury St Edmunds and Thetford, with one of the drivers having to be cut from his vehicle.

He was taken to the Cambridge hospital by ambulance after suffering a potentially serious back injury.

Suffolk Police shut the A11 following the incident, with diversions causing traffic problems in Brandon.
