A Norwich burger joint will offer a special menu at its upcoming pop-up in a retro arcade bar. 

Bun X, based at the Micawbers Tavern in Pottergate, will be in the kitchen at Barcadia in Prince of Wales Road from May 24 to 26 over the bank holiday weekend.

It will serve a fully planted-based menu of burgers, hot dogs and sides from 12noon to 9pm on Friday and Saturday and 12noon to 6pm on Sunday.

Customers can choose their "fighter", either a smashed patty, southern-fried vegan 'chicken' or a plant-based hot dog.

They then select their "weapon" with a topping of classic American, Korean barbecue or a sticky Louisiana hot sauce with ranch.

Side orders are called "extra lives", including loaded fries or tater tots and vegan nuggets.

Jeff Taylor, Bun X owner, said: "Barcadia owner Peter Leigh has a brilliant concept with his retro arcade bar.

"It is tough out there at the moment so if local businesses can collaborate it is a win for everyone."

Barcadia is a retro arcade bar with games such as Pac-Man and Space Invaders and it serves a range of cocktails and mocktails.
