A Norfolk market town bank will be closing next year, it has been announced.

TSB has confirmed that its branch in Market Place, Aylsham is set to close in May 2025.

The bank is closing 36 branches and cutting 250 jobs across the UK as it moves to a better balance of digital and face-to-face services.

TSB said it had decided to close the local branches because not enough customers were using them as most bank digitally.

A spokesman for TSB said: “The decision to close a branch is never taken lightly, but our customers are now doing most of their banking digitally and we need to move to a better balance of digital and face-to-face services.Eastern Daily Press: TSB banking has said it is closing 36 branches and cutting 250 jobs across the UKTSB banking has said it is closing 36 branches and cutting 250 jobs across the UK (Image: Google)

There are still branches in Norwich and King's Lynn and a pop-up location in Holt.
