A family-friendly carnival is returning this summer with a parade and more than 35 different craft stalls.

Watton Carnival 2024 is promising "fun for the whole family" at the Watton Sports Centre on Sunday, July 14.

There will be bouncy castles, free pony rides, a dog show and photo opportunities with dress-up characters.

Norfolk business and local artisans will be holding stalls including handmade jewellery, homemade arts and crafts and sweet treats.

A selection of food vendors will be serving burgers, dirty fries, jacket potatoes, Caribbean cuisine, doughnuts and ice cream, while a bar will offer teas, coffees and soft drinks.

Zara Lister, an organiser of this year's carnival said: "The event aims to ensure accessibility and enjoyment for all."

"It is not merely a festivity but a platform for local charities, organisations, and businesses, enabling them to gather support and visibility for great causes."

"The carnival ensures that families can indulge in attractions and entertainment - from the exhilarating rides to the captivating church service and parade." She added.

Children will be encouraged to dress up as their favourite book characters for this year's carnival theme.

The event is free entry and gates will open from 11am to 4pm, with the walking parade will leave Queens Car Park at 12pm.
