A 43-year-old man from Ipswich has been fined and told to pay costs after he was caught driving without insurance.
Ajibola Ajayi, of Rectory Road in the town, appeared before Maidstone Magistrates' Court on March 27.
He was charged with using a motor vehicle on a road without third party insurance and driving a motor vehicle otherwise than in accordance with a licence.
The two charges related to a Mercedes CLC180 being stopped by police in John Street, in Rochester in Kent, on May 21 last year.
Both charges were dealt with through the single justice procedure, which deals with more minor cases that are not heard before a crown court.
Ajayi was convicted of both of the offences.
He was handed a fine of £120 and told to pay a victim surcharge of £48, with a collection order made for the sums, according to a court listing.
No order was made for costs.
Ajayi was also handed a driving ban of seven days and his driving record was endorsed.
