A hospital is inviting public nominations to celebrate its exceptional workers and teams.

The James Paget University Hospital has launched its annual 'Paget’s People' staff awards for this year.

The purpose is to honour the tireless efforts, exceptional work, and compassion of individuals and teams serving across the hospital trust.

The James Paget University Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust, situated in Gorleston is now inviting patients, families, carers, and the general public to nominate deserving individuals or teams.

In addition to recognising clinical and non-clinical people and teams, new award categories include outstanding leadership, respect, and working together awards.

The last aligns with the trust's values and acknowledges collaborations involving teams in the hospital and beyond.

The Paget’s People awards still feature volunteer and fundraiser of the year, while new categories include rising star and learning into action, both aimed at students and teams that turned challenges into enhancements.

The sustainability and change leader awards were also added to recognise eco-friendly improvements and innovative healthcare improvements respectively.

Jo Segasby, chief executive at the James Paget, said: “We are delighted to launch nominations to the Paget’s People awards for 2024, and encourage everyone to submit details of the people and teams who have made a difference over the past year.”

“We are always overwhelmed by the amount of nominations we receive, and the amazing testimonies and stories of colleagues that make everyone proud of the Paget.”

Nominations can be submitted either online or in person via forms available at the hospital's main reception, the Newberry Clinic and Carlton Court.

The process will end at 5pm on Friday, June 21.

Winners will be honoured at a grand award ceremony on October 18, sponsored by businesses and the James Paget Hospital Charity.
