Heavy traffic on A47 routes to the city were causing long delays in Norwich.
Police received reports at 10.26am of a lorry trailer which had lost a wheel on the A47 Westbound in Trowse Newton, between A1042 Yarmouth Road and A146 Loddon Road.
Traffic was queuing to the Postwick junction and drivers faced delays up to 20-25 minutes.
A breakdown recovery team made its way to the scene and the road reopened at 2pm.
