A body has been found in the search for a missing mother of three from Beccles.

Sarah Cook, 59, was last seen at her home at 6pm on Monday when her husband James went to walk the dog.

When he returned his wife was gone and she had left her phone, car keys and jewellery at her home in Fredericks Road.

Emergency services launched a search and her friends and family also spent the night looking for her.

It has not been formally identified but Mrs Cook's family has been informed.

The death is being treated as unexplained but police do not currently believe there are any suspicious circumstances.

Mrs Cook's good friend and hairdresser, Kirsty Woolnough, confirmed the discovery on social media just before 11.30am.

She said in a tearful Facebook post: "I just want to say thank you to everyone for your effort."

A police cordon remains in place in Puddingmoor, just down the stream from the Lido.
