A woman has been taken to hospital after suffering a medical episode in Norwich city centre.

Emergency services were called to the St Stephens Street at 4.10pm on Tuesday to reports of a medical emergency.

An ambulance, ambulance officer, paramedic cyclist and a response car from the air ambulance were sent to the scene and provided emergency treatment.

The woman was then taken to the Norfolk and Norwich University Hospital for further care.

A large police presence was also in attendance at the scene near the Sainsbury's Local store.
