A Labrador has been left with bite wounds after allegedly being attacked by a German Shepherd at the weekend.
The 10-year-old dog, named Willow, was on a Sunday morning walk with its owner Fred Mason when the alleged incident happened.
Mr Mason said that the German Shepherd ran over to the Labrador and latched onto her neck.
He added that he attempted to pull the dog away but the size and strength of the German Shepherd meant he had "no effect".

He said: "It was trying to kill her."
The Labrador was left with several puncture marks and bruises around her neck. She was taken to the vet for treatment aided by Mr Mason's daughter, a veterinary nurse.
Mr Mason said that Willow is recovering at home in front of the fireplace but, as dog bite wounds can become easily infected, she's "not out of the woods yet".
The alleged attack happened in Cutthroat Lane in Yaxham and is reportedly the fourth dog attack in the area in the past month.
Mr Mason has reported the incident to the police.
