Temperatures in Norfolk are set to plummet this weekend as a cold front comes in from the north.

The county is set to see freezing temperatures and there is a chance that some showers could turn wintry.

Daytime highs are expected to be around 6C but will feel much colder as the front brings cold northerly winds to the region.

A Met Office spokesman said: "This cold northerly wind may encourage some wintry showers to feed in off the North Sea, but the ground temperatures are too warm for snow to settle.

"The most likely outcome is for some showers to contain some sleet.”

Chris Page, who is a weather presenter for ITV Anglia, said that eastern coastal areas are most likely to see wintry showers.
