18-year-old woman charged with motoring offences after residents complain about moped

An 18-year-old woman has been charged with seven motoring offences in relation to two incidents in Thetford.
Teejay Collins, of no fixed address, was charged with dangerous driving, taking a vehicle without the owner’s consent, driving otherwise than in accordance with a license and driving without insurance after several witness reports of a moped being driven dangerously around the town on Saturday.
Collins was allegedly spotted on a Honda moped in Norwich Road, Mundford Road, Churchill Road and Grenville Road.
She was also charged with three further charges in relation to an incident with a Honda moped in Norwich Road on January 2.
These included taking a motor vehicle without the owner’s consent, driving otherwise than in accordance with a licence, and driving without insurance.
A 14-year-old boy was also arrested in relation to an incident on Saturday. He was charged with being carried on a motor vehicle taken without the owner’s consent.
Collins was bailed and will appear at Bury St Edmunds Magistrates’ Court on March.
The 14-year-old boy will at Bury Youth Court on March 5.
