Motorists are being warned to take care on Norfolk’s roads in the morning, after about four inches of snow fell throughout the county today.
Snow is still falling across many parts of the county with west Norfolk and Norwich particularly hit.
A Norfolk police spokesman said that there had been an increased number of road accidents because of the weather conditions.
Head teachers across Norfolk will decide tomorrow whether to close their schools, and the Norfolk County Council website will be updated if there are any school closures.
The snow started falling in the west of the county in the early afternoon and moved eastwards throughout the day.
Norwich escaped the snow until about 5pm, but it has ben snowing since then.
There have been reports of snow across most of the county, although Yarmouth has, so far, escaped.
Several Greater Anglia trains between Ipswich, Cambridge and London have also been cancelled because of the weather conditions, and a speed limit has been imposed on services.
A Norfolk County Council spokesman said that snow ploughs have been in use across the county.
More snow is forecast for the county overnight.
