Norfolk could experience 55mph gusts of wind tonight as predictions of wind and rain continue.

Chris Bell, a forecaster at UEA-based Weatherquest, said: “The rest of today, tonight and tomorrow we are going to continue to see a few showers coming from the west at times.

“They could have some heavy downpours and obviously some very gusty winds.

“The winds generally will continue to increase into this evening. There could be gusts of up to 55mph tonight.

“Tomorrow gusts could be between 40 and 50mph. It will still be windy with showers coming and going tomorrow.”

He said the windy spell should start to ease on Sunday evening.

“It will be less windy on Monday but it still looks very unsettled throughout next week and we will probably have wind and rain at times.”
