Signalling problems and overrunning engineering works are delayed trains between Norwich and London Liverpool Street this morning.

Greater Anglia said there were signalling problems between Norwich and Diss, forcing trains to run at reduced speed.

A statement on the company’s website said: “A signalling equipment fault at Swainsthorpe between Norwich and Diss is expected to delayed trains through the area by up to 15 minutes, the 06:00 from Norwich to Liverpool Street is the first train affected.

“Network Rail engineers are on the way to rectify the fault.”

  • What a pathetic service, people deserve better than this.

  • Yet again Network Rail is unable to maintain in good order the railway network in East Anglia. It is becoming a daily occurance.
