Trains between Norwich and Ely have now been restored after being stopped this afternoon because of signalling problems at Thetford.

East Midlands Trains put out a warning to passengers at 4.15pm via its Twitter feed, @EMTrains.

The problems are effecting passengers travelling on the Norwich to Liverpool Lime Street route, which includes stops at Grantham, Nottingham, and Manchester.

Network Rail engineers are working on the signalling problems, which will mean services will be delayed.
