A large amount of string caused delays on the A47 near Dereham between the Yaxham junction and Swanton Morley turn off.

A member of the public called Norfolk Police at 12.30pm today to warn them that baler string, for tieing bales of straw, was on the road and could cause a hazard to vehicles.

Delays were caused to traffic as cars tried to avoid the obstruction and the road was cleared.
