The competitively-priced model is based on the standard 5.0-litre V8 naturally-aspirated XK specification and, with visual references using the Jaguar heritage logo, celebrates the 50th anniversary of the E-type.
The Special Edition coupe and convertible are differentiated on the outside from the standard XK by their gloss black upper and lower front grilles, front bumper side intakes and coupe's window surrounds, body-coloured boot lid finisher and 19in Tamana painted alloys with red Jaguar heritage logo wheel caps. The cars come in lunar grey, liquid silver, polaris white and exclusive black cherry.
The interior package has never been offered on the XK before and marks the Special Edition as a unique model. All interiors are finished in bond grain leather with active ventilated front seats – heated and cooled with perforated seat inners, a choice of duo-tone interiors available with any exterior colour – warm charcoal with contrasting ivory seat squab and cushion, and warm charcoal/ivory with contrasting warm charcoal seat squab and cushion, plus piano black and engine spin finish veneer and jet suedecloth headliner.
The XK Special Edition coupe costs �59,900 on the road, a �4,000 value proposition against the XK, with the convertible �65,900.
