Commuters travelling on a busy road near Gorleston could face delays to their journey this morning following an accident involving a van.

The Gorleston roundabout on the A12 is partially blocked at Victoria Road, in both directions, while recovery work due to a fuel spillage takes place.

The accident happened at around 6am today and is around half a mile north of the James Paget Hospital.

Norfolk Police this morning issued a warning on Twitter to motorists to expect delays while the work is carried out and the police are on scene diverting traffic via local routes.

No other details are available at this time.

  • No mention of the East of England emergency ambulance that was smashed up into the railings...and yes there was fueloil spill but I managed to negotiate the roundabout without incident!
