Norwich road to temporarily close for cycle path improvements

A Norwich road will be closed while a cycle path is widened and a crossing is built.

The work between Bluebell Road and Newmarket Road will start on July 24 and is expected to finish on October 13.

A shared pedestrian/cycle path along the University of East Anglia side of Bluebell Road - between South Park Avenue and the slip road between Bluebell Road and Newmarket Road - will be widened.

The shared pedestrian/cycle path along the slip road between Bluebell Road and Newmarket Road will be widened too.

A new tiger crossing for pedestrians and cyclists, to the north of the slip road between Bluebell Road and Newmarket Road, will also be built.

Two-way traffic lights will be set up along Bluebell Road and the road will be closed for resurfacing towards the end of the project to coincide with resurfacing works at the nearby Eaton crossroads.
