With the clocks going back this weekend, Volvo dealership Holden Motors is looking to help vulnerable road-users more visible on the dark nights and winter morning.

The retailer in Barker Street, Norwich, is launching Volvo Cars LifePaint – a reflective spray aimed at increasing the visibility and safety of cyclists – by offering free sprays on Saturday, 10am to 4pm, and Sunday, 10.30am to 3.30pm, to demonstrate how the product works.

Volvo Cars LifePaint is invisible by daylight but, when darkness fall, reflects light in the same direction as the light source, to light up objects it has been sprayed on. The safety spray paint, which can be applied to clothes, shoes, helmets, pushchairs, children’s backpacks, dog leads and collars. It is transparent and a single spray on a surface can last up to a fortnight and washes off without affecting the colour or damaging a treated surface.

Tim Holden, of Holden Motors, said: “By making cyclists increasingly visible, as well as increasing the safety capabilities of our cars, we are doing our utmost to protect everyone on the road.”

Volvo Cars LifePaint, made by Swedish start-up Albedo100, is available from Volvo dealers. For more information log on to www.volvocarslifepaint.com
