A train service from Norwich to London Liverpool Street was delayed for 40 minutes last night after police were called to deal with an argument.

The 6.30pm service was forced to stop at Diss following reports of a disturbance.

Police were called at 6.50pm to the argument, which was believed to have been between members of the same family.

However, a spokesman for British Transport Police said the situation calmed down after the police arrived and no arrests were made.

He said: “The local police attended before we did, but no one was arrested or assaulted and no crime has been recorded.”
