Temporary traffic lights will be installed in a Norwich street while a worn-out footpath is rebuilt.

Work in Meadow Way, in Hellesdon, which will cost £50,000 will start on Tuesday, August 29.

It is due to last for four weeks.

Norfolk County Council said the road will not need to shut, but there will be temporary traffic signals in place.

The work is being done because the existing surface of the footway is breaking apart and needs reconstruction and resurfacing.

The council says access to properties will be maintained while the work is done and thanked people for their patience while the reconstruction of the footpath is carried out.

The work will be done by Norfolk County Council’s community and environmental services department and their contractors.
