The first accident took place on St Crispin’s Road flyover at about 4.30pm.

This involved a collision between a cyclist and a blue Vauxhall car.

The cyclist received minor injuries and the road was reopened by 6.10pm.

Due to the incidents, Norfolk police tweeted for motorists in Norwich to expect delays.

But while police were dealing with this incident, another call came in that there had been another accident nearby in Oak Street, at about 5.20pm.

This was a very minor collision involving two cars and there were no injuries.

And, finally, about five minutes later two cars were involved in a rear-end shunt in Tombland. This involved a silver Vauxhall Corsa and a blue Vauxhall.

A woman was taken to hospital with minor injuries as a precaution. This incident was resolved by about 6.15pm.
