Services between the city and seaside resort were delayed or cancelled this morning because of the problem.

And there was more disruption this afternoon due to a points failure at Reedham.

Operator Greater Anglia tweeted to say services were running normally again by around 4.30pm.

It comes after a signalling problem between Brandon and Thetford caused delays of up to 30 minutes between Ely and Norwich.

  • It would be nice if the EDP writers could use the correct stock photo to illustrate stories. The picture here is an electric loco used on the London service. Only diesel units can use the Yarmouth line.

  • Nothing is maintained properly or updated today, as it costs money.

  • If there were no problems there would be redundant EDP reporters.

  • Yeah, nothing to do with Abeillo who only operate the trains (but don't own them). Different company owns the tracks and signals. Couldn't make it up!!!

  • Wouldn't it be a real treat one day to see that all the trains are running normally? Every day some problem comes up - I feel sorry for people who have to rely on Abellio to get them anywhere
