One of the Queen’s horses, Barbers Shop, will also be taking part.

The 11-year-old gelding, which was the last horse to be bred by the Queen Mother, was formerly trained by Nicky Henderson and won £143,000 during his racing career, with a total of eight successes. He raced for the final time at the Cheltenham Festival in 2012, and has since been very successfully introduced to the show ring, resulting in him being crowned champion at last year’s final of the Tattersalls and Retraining of Racehorses Thoroughbred Show Horse Championship at Hickstead.

Barbers Shop is ridden by Katie Jerram and will compete in Class 129: The Tattersalls, Retraining of Racehorses Thoroughbred Show Series, which is to be held on the Thursday of the show in the Waveney Light Horse ring.

Jerram, based at Great Dunmow in Essex, has seven of the Queen’s horses in her care at her yard, and said: “I’m delighted to be attending this year’s Royal Norfolk Show with some of the top show horses in the country.”

In the tent, readers will be able to get a free cup of tea or coffee with vouchers we will be running in the paper in the run-up to the show. Cakes will also be on sale.

• Around the showground we will be selling goody bags containing items including a copy of the paper, a drink and crisps for just £1.

• Don’t miss the EDP’s 60-page show preview supplement – sponsored by Woodforde’s Norfolk Ales – which will run in the paper on June 19.
