An annual charity variety concert goes ahead at Holt on Sunday.

The Showtime night is a long-running event organised by the Aldborough-based Good Intentions Fundraising Team volunteers and the showbusiness welfare charity the Grand Order of Water Rats.

Headline act for the show at the Auden Theatre in the grounds of Gresham’s School is Martin Daniels, son of evergreen magician Paul Daniels.

Martin who followed his father’s footsteps into showbiz, also performs magic, as well as comedy and has been a TV presenter and author.

The show will raise funds for the Water rats and a pancreatic cancer charity.

Others acts on the bill are:

■ Jay McGee, former star of the Rocking Berries.

■ All-round “ventertainer” Richard Whymark.

■ Pete Phillips, who won a GIFT talent search earlier in the year.

■ Whistler Sheila Harrod.

■ Vocalist Maria Willis.

■ Children from the Rollason Stage School.

■ Perry and Laura-Rose Cook, the GIFT junior talent winners.

The show will be hosted by compere Rollo.

All seats are £10 (£8.50 each for groups of six or more).

Showtime is 7.30pm.
