Country and western, big band and jazz classics will be performed for a popular long-running village music festival this summer.

The Mundesley Festival, which is in its 31st year, will be taking place between Monday August 4 and Friday August 8.

All the performances will happen inside the Coronation Hall, next to the parish church on Cromer Road, at 7.45pm and tickets are now on sale.

Proceeds from the festival will go towards Guide Dogs for the Blind charity.

Derek Kirk, general manager of the festival, said: 'People should expect a good night out for a reasonable price.'

Popular acts will be returning to the event, run by volunteers, as well as new performers.

This year will kick off with the Jonathan Wyatt Big Band which will be supported by Lyndsey Ball and Cromer Pier favourite Olly Day. Tickets for the opening night cost £13.

The Tuesday night will showcase Roger Dean, from Heacham, who will put on the Johnny Cash Story with the Lazy Boys. Tickets cost £12.50.

Tony Jacobs and the Tuxedo Jazz Orchestra will be on the stage on Wednesday. Tickets cost £14.

The show will include classics by jazz star Bing Crossby and the orchestra, which has appeared at Cromer Pier, features 10 musicians.

The Dreamers, featuring original members Alan Mosca and Bryan Bing, will perform their 1950s and 1960s pop hits on Thursday. They will be supported by Andy Leach. Tickets cost £12.
