Calling all food and drink fanatics! Here’s a selection (there’s too many to list) of fabulous food and drink events happening across Norfolk this July. Any take your fancy?

1. Norwich Vegan’s Summer Fayre, Open, Norwich, Saturday July 1, 10:30am - 3:30pm.

A wide range of stalls will be offering an abundance of vegan food and drink alongside other vegan merchandise. There will also be face painting, alternative therapy practitioners, guest speakers and social areas to chat and enjoy the food.

Price: Free entry.

2. Mr Hughs Beer Festival at Old Larchwood, Beachamwell, Saturday July 1, 11am - 11pm.

Moth in a China Shop’s annual Charity Beer and Music Festival is fun for all of the family. Listen to live music while you work your way through over 20 different Norfolk brewed ales and ciders in the beer tent before joining in with the children’s treasure hunt and tug of war competition.

Price: Free entry.

3. Summer Beer, Rum & Gin Festival, Diss Corn Hall, Diss, Friday July 7, 5pm - 11pm and Saturday July 8, midday - 11pm.

Headlined by the award-winning Grain Brewery, enjoy all of their cask beers alongside many other guest breweries including the Fat Cat. The Plough on St Benedict’s will be there with the very best gins and rums all served up in a summer style. Frederick’s Fine Foods will be serving food from the cafe and The Crispy Pizza Co will be selling their wood-fired pizzas.

4. Feast on the Street, Theatre Street, Norwich, Saturday July 8, 11am - 11pm.

Norwich’s own collection of street food stalls will line the streets as part of the Lord Mayor’s celebrations. Peruse and choose your favourite or try them all. The line up includes Feast on the Street regulars, The Duck Trust, Chihauhau Burrito, Proper Pizza Co, Dogzillas and Fitzroys Street Food and many more.

5. The Norwich Lanes Summer Fayre, Norwich, Sunday July 9, midday - 6pm.

Take over the streets, alleyways and courtyards of the Norwich Lanes as you munch your way down the St Benedict’s Street Market and soak up the incredible atmosphere that is the Norwich Lanes Summer Fayre.

Price: Free entry.

6. Hawkers World Street Food Launch, The Rumsey Wells, Norwich, Sunday July 9, 6pm - 9pm.

The Rumsey Wells launch their food collaboration for July and August with a night of music from DJ Steve Clark and a taste of the new lunch menu. It includes arepas from Venezuala, bunny chow from South Africa, fried yuca from Brazil and much more.

Price: Free entry.

7. Gin Festival, The Halls, Norwich, Friday July 14 - Sunday July 16, afternoon sessions 12:30pm - 5pm, evening sessions 6:30pm - 11pm.

The UK’s biggest and oldest gin festival settles into its historical home with over 100 gins. Get a taste of some exclusive gins, learn with gin master classes and dance the night away to some live music.

Price: £18 entry.

8. An Introduction to Macaron Making, Macarons & More, Norwich, July 15, 9am - 2pm.

Become skilled in the art of macaron making and wow friends and family with your patisserie skills. This comprehensive hands-on-session lasts five hours and will cover macarons and fresh fruit-filled Massive Macs.

Price: £140 per place.

9. Bratwurst BBQ pop-up at the Fox at Lyng, Norwich, Monday July 17, 6pm - 8:30pm.

Get a taste of traditional German sausages in the heart of Norfolk with another exciting pop up at The Fox at Lyng. They will be serving up bratwurst, currywurst, frikadellen and vegetarian sausages, all cooked over charcoal on a giant grill - yum!

10. Figbar and Woolf & Social collaboration dinner, Woolf and Social, Norwich, Wednesday July 19, 7:30pm.

Head chef at Woolf & Social, Glenn Curtis and owner and chef of Figbar, Jaime Garbutt come together to create three courses with mirroring ingredients. Woolf & Social will serve three savoury courses followed by three dessert courses from Figbar. The challenge for the chefs is that they have to use one matching ingredient in everything they serve. Each course will also be paired with an alcoholic beverage.

11. Friday Night Fun, Wells-next-the-Sea Beach Cafe, Wells-next-the-Sea, Friday July 21, 5pm - 9pm.

Every Friday throughout July the cafe will be hosting party nights. Head down to enjoy barbecued hotdogs and burgers al fresco, a walk along the beach and a night of music, fun and games.

Price: Free entry.

12. Fran’s Lobster BBQ in the Courtyard, The White Horse Inn, Brancaster, Friday July 28, 4:30pm onwards.

Take in the stunning views of Brancaster Staithe as you enjoy it’s lobster, caught by Simon Letzer of Letzer’s Seafood and Smokehouse. Lobsters will be barbecued to order in The White Horse Inn courtyard and served up with a selection of seasonal salads and sauces.

Price: Price of Lobster can be obtained on booking.

13. Rock Your Brains, Maggie & The Dragon, King’s Lynn, Friday July 28, 7pm - 10pm.

In an intimate setting try electrifying veggie cocktail ‘shots’, a talk by the Rocking Raw Chef, Barbara Fernandez in which you’ll learn all about using the products in your gift bag to nourish and protect your brain. There’s a tantalizing three course meal with over 12 different dishes, each designed to cleanse and stimulate both your palate and your brain. The evening will end with hot drinks, an informal Q&A and mingling session.

Price: £100 per person which includes all food, wine, and luxurious goodie bags with brain-boosting superfoods, tonics and potions.

14. Supper Club, Creake Abbey. North Creake, Friday July 28 - Saturday July 29, 7pm.

Over the course of the summer local foodie hub, Creake Abbey will be hosting North Norfolk childhood friends for four exclusive pop-up Supper Club evenings. Chef Robbie Spencer Ashworth will serve three courses of fresh, seasonal and locally-sourced food some of which he will forage for the morning of the Supper Club. Tom Hanson-Smith of Journey’s End, an award winning boutique South African vineyard will be pairing each course with wine suggestions.

Price: £42 per person with amuse-bouche and complimentary drink on arrival.

15. Rainbow Unicorn Afternoon Tea, The Assembly House, Norwich, From Friday July 28th, midday - 4:30pm.

In honour of Norwich Pride weekend, head pastry chef at The Assembly House Mark Mitson has designed a Rainbow Unicorn Afternoon Tea. With magical cakes and desserts, including sparkly jam to smother on your scones, it’s definitely not one to miss.

Price: £19.50 for one £38.00 for two.
