Busy schedule continues at The Seagull

Music, drama and fun for all the family will feature in a packed fortnight of entertainment at the Seagull Theatre in Pakefield.

Tonight (Friday, October 5), at 7.30pm, Broad Horizons Theatre Company present ‘Rebellious Sisterhood - Votes for Women’, by Karen Forbes.

This will be a rare glimpse at the private lives and the personal cost paid by the leaders of the Suffragettes. Tickets £10/£9.

On Saturday, at 7.30pm, the musical phenomenon that is Bruce Springsteen is powerfully presented by ‘Bootleg Boss’. Supported by seasoned musicians, E Street Band, Bootleg authentically re-creates the landscape and timeless sound of Springsteen’s New Jersey. Tickets £13/£10.

Milk present ‘Bullish’ on Monday, October 8, at 8pm. This is a challenging journey in which ancient mythology is pitted against modern gender navigation. From the same team who brought us the fascinating show, Joan, this struggle to escape the Labyrinth will be both thought-provoking and hugely entertaining. Tickets £10/£9.

On Tuesday, October 9 the Seagull’s regular quiz night takes place - with good humour and lashings of friendly banter. Entry £1 per person for teams of up to six.

Next Wednesday, October 10, at 7.30pm, the Sheepish Productions’ show, ‘Communicate’, tells the true story of one couple’s journey through bereavement, love and superheroes. Thoughtful, funny and really good theatre. Tickets £9/£8/£5 (student).

On Thursday, October 11 at 7.30pm ‘From Zimbabwe with Love’ comes to the Seagull stage. This new play tells the story of Robert Matalasie as he journeys from his Shona tribe in Africa to the football pitches of East Anglia. Touching, explosive and hugely entertaining. Tickets £10/£9.

On Friday, March 12 at 7.30pm brilliant local fusion band, ‘Zingaro Blue’ return to the Seagull with their astonishing mixture of Gypsy folk, rock, pop, jazz and blues. Tickets £8.

‘The Kick Inside’ offers a celebratory tribute to the songs of Kate Bush by the widely acclaimed duo, ‘Raf and O’ as it hits the stage on Saturday, October 13 at 7.30pm. This will be a charming and intimate evocation of the early songs of Kate Bush. Tickets £12/£10.

On Sunday, October 14, from 8pm, Andy Davis hosts our regular karaoke session in the foyer bar. Admission free.

From Wednesday, October 17 to Friday, October 19, at 7.30pm, FABBA Theatre Company for adults with learning difficulties present their latest show, ‘The Adventures of Hercules’. Tickets £8/£7.
