Quirky retelling of The Six Wives of Henry VIII at North Walsham arts venue

07:00 21 February 2014

Henry's Wives

A fast-paced and quirky retelling of The Six Wives of Henry VIII is being staged at the Atrium in North Walsham.

The production is by acclaimed two-man theatre company Living Spit on Thursday February 27 at 7.30pm.

Howard Coggins looks like Henry VIII. Stu McLoughlin does not look like any of the wives, but he is going to give it a go.

The drama is full of live original music, embroidery, Barbie dolls, silly songs and historical hysteria. The performance promises to be an ill-researched lesson in Tudor history.

Reviews have flagged it up as one of the best comedy shows outside of the Edinburgh Fringe, with a blend of bluesy songs, one-liners and a script that constantly surprises.

It does contain adult material and is suitable for ages 16+

This event is organised in partnership with Creative Arts East with funding by The Esmée Fairbairn Foundation, Norfolk County Council and North Norfolk District Council.

Tickets for the event at The Atrium in Spenser Avenue, North Walsham are £9 standard, concessions £7.

Bookings through the box office on 01692 400080.
