Need something to keep you entertained this weekend? Here are just some of the events going on around Norfolk this weekend to keep the family busy.
The wait is over, James Bond is back with his licence to kill in Skyfall (12A). Daniel Craig takes on the role of 007 for the third time with Sam Mendes as the director in one of the most anticipated Bond films to date. This time a database of MI6 files has been stolen by cyber terrorist Raoul Silva (Javier Bardem) and James Bond has been sent to track him down, with the return of Q (Ben Whishaw) to help him out. Skyfall certainly has a licence to thrill and is a film not to miss.
If you would rather enjoy some exhilarating music then the Bollywood Brass Band will be playing at the Norwich Arts Centre on Saturday (8:30pm). Featuring Indian style brass and bhangra, and singer Rafaqat Ali Khan you are guaranteed to be dancing by the end to the good-time hits from Bollywood films. Fancy a laugh then the comedy of Craig Brown and Neil Innes is the event of the weekend for you. Their unique form of comedy brings together songs and prose in parodies that will have you crying with laughter, and with the promise of the revamping of Fifty Shades of Grey this comedy show will be eventful to say the least. To keep your children entertained why not take them to Little Sunshine, Little Rainfall at the Norwich Arts Centre this Saturday at 2pm. This stage show is presented by A Thousand Cranes in association with artsdepot, and tells the magical story of Little Rainfall and Little Sunshine’s Japanese garden, blending Japanese folklore and traditional music that will fill up your children’s imagination. To fit in with half term, Moyse’s Hall in Bury St Edmunds will be holding a host of Dr Who events that will appeal to both familes and Dr Who fans. The main events take place on Saturday and Sunday where you can see some costumes and memorabilia from past Dr Who series.
