Maisha — Inside The Acorn

Taking inspiration from Pharoah Sanders and Alice Coltrane, this band fuse their jazz influences with West African and Afro-beat rhythm and released this track on Gilles Peterson's Brownswood Recordings. At the Adnams Spiegeltent on May 26.

Les Amazones D'Afrique — La Dame et Ses Valises

West Africa all-female supergroup whose 2017 album Republique Amazone mixes ancient rhythms of Africa with funk and blues and dabs of dub. Catch them at the Adnams Spiegeltent on May 23.

Binker & Moses — Fete By The River

Fiery saxophone-drum duo who have won a loyal following for their intense, hypnotic live shows. This more laid back track from their second album Journey to the Mountain of Forever in Summer. They are at the Adnams Spiegeltent on May 24.

Mary Chapin Carpenter — Sometimes Just The Sky

Five-time Grammy Award winner comes to the festival for the first time to perform songs from her expansive back catalogue and from her new album, of which this is the title track. See her at Norwich Theatre Royal on May 17.

Mariam Batsashvili — Liszt Sarabande and Chaconne

BBC Radio 3 New Generation artist became the first female in history to win the International Franz Liszt Piano Competition. Her programme at Norwich Playhouse on May 14 showcases her virtuosity with Liszt, plus Mozart, Chopin and Schubert.

Ben Folds — Not A Fan

Multi-platinum selling singer-songwriter from his indie-pop of Ben Folds Five to working with the likes of William Shatner to classical recordings. He will be performing using the intimacy of just a piano in a concert at Norwich Theatre Royal on May 19.

Deva Mahal — Turnt Up

Powerhouse vocalist and songwriter, the daughter of legendary blues musician Taj Mahal, whose brand of soul embraces her blues roots with gospel, funk rhythms and jazz. Catch her at Norwich Playhouse on May 17.

House of Waters — In Waves

Innovative band, featuring Max ZT on hammered dulcimer, Moto Fukishima on six string bass and Ignacio Rivas-Bixio on percussion, in corporate African, jazz, psychedelic, indie rock, classical and world music. Catch them at the Adnams Spiegeltent on May 17.

Barb Jungr — Gotta Serve Somebody

Award-winning singer-songwriter with a gift for interpreting, reimagining and rearranging will be performing the best of the Bob Dylan material she perfected over the past 15 years at the Adnams Spiegeltent on May 22.

Ashley Henry — Deja Vu

British jazz pianist who has worked with the likes of Jason Marsalis, Terence Blanchard and Jean Toussaint and just released his Easter EP, drawing from jazz, hip-hop, R&B and punk. Catch him at the Adnams Spiegeltent on May 25.

Maya Youssef — The Sea

Syrian musician Maya Youssef whose innovative approach to playing the qanun – a traditional Middle Eastern plucked zither – has seen her feature at the BBC Proms. Catch her at Norwich Playhouse on May 24.

Ladysmith Black Mambazo — Mina Kangivumanga

One of the world's most distinctive groups. the legendary a cappella male choir have evoked the soul of South Africa for 50 years. This track comes from last year's Grammy winning album. See them at Norwich Theatre Royal on May 16.

Emily Barker — Over My Shoulder

Award-winning Australian singer-songwriter who blends country and English folk with 60s pop, rich string arrangements and multi-part vocal harmonies. See her supporting Mary Chapin Carpenter at Norwich Theatre Royal on May 17.

Amanda Palmer — Judy Blume

One half of cult punk-cabaret duo The Dresden Dolls and an alt-rock icon, known for her earnest songwriting and unique electrifying performances. Catch her at Open on May 20.
