It is believed that festival history was made at Latitude.

Despite not playing possibly their most popular song, Paul Heaton and Jacqui Abbott still managed to put on a good show for those who made their way to the Obelisk Arena for the early-afternoon set.

Heaton told the audience that there was a Twitter feed, and he joked with those in front of him with what had been said on the Twitter feed, with one especially funny moment telling kids about the ‘dad rack’, where fathers could have a lie down for a while if they were tired.

Despite missing out ‘Perfect 10’, Heaton and Abbott performed songs from the Housemartins and Beautiful South back catalogue, with ‘Don’t Marry Her’ and ‘Rotterdam’ going down well, as well as new material from their new album ‘What Have We Become’, with Heaton lively with his dancing across the stage.

All in all it was a good performance, but it would have been perfect if they’d played the one popular song they missed.
