The country estate of Henham Park, near Beccles, is gearing up for 35,000 festival-goers to descend upon it between Thursday, July 18 and Sunday, July 21.

Latitude’s founder, Melvin Benn, and the festival’s organisers unveiled a host of new quirky cultural attractions for the line-up at Henham Park today.

The biggest announcement was the addition of Texas, led by singer Sharleen Spiteri.

The Scottish band replace US pop-rock band Modest Mouse as the Friday headliners on the BBC Radio Six Music Stage, who cancelled their European tour to concentrate on recording their next album.

Other line-up additions include world-famous trumpet player Alison Balsom and The English Concert performing on The Waterfront stage on the festival’s Sunday afternoon, taking a break from a 16-show run performing in Gabriel at Shakespeare’s Globe Theatre.

While other quirky cultural additions will see chef and food writer Gizzi Erskine host a cookery cabaret stage and Made In Chelsea star Jamie Laing and fashion blogger Bip Ling will present the festival’s Graduate Fashion Show.

Mr Benn added: “We already think it’s the best festival in the world and it just keeps getting better and better, and we just can’t stop it getting better and better.”
