The third Voewood Festival at the early 20th-century High Kelling home will be happening from Friday, August 15 to Sunday, August 17.

Rare book dealer Simon Finch, owner of Voewood house and the man behind the boutique event, said this year's line-up was astonishing.

He said: 'It is an extraordinary festival because of its location, the people that perform and its intimacy.'

Voewood will include book readings, in conversation events, music and children's activities.

Attractions this year include a one-hour debate between North Norfolk Liberal Democrat MP Norman Lamb and Holt businessman Michael Baker, UKIP prospective parliamentary candidate for North Norfolk, at 10am on Sunday.

'It is not Nigel Farage against Nick Clegg but it is the Norfolk equivalent,' Mr Finch added.

Peter Hook will be revisiting a back catalogue of his former bands including New Order and Joy Division on Saturday night with his band Peter Hook and The Light.

The music line-up also includes an acoustic set from former Ultravox and Band Aid star Midge Ure, Los Pacaminos featuring Paul Young and a final night session by Sex Pistol Glen Matlock.

Up and coming performers will also be playing including 15-year-old Sasha Luffman and popular Norfolk potter Emma Bridgewater and Norwich author Eimear McBride, creator of A Girl is a Half-Formed Thing, will be giving talks.

Actor John Hurt will be doing a special reading.

Mr Finch said: 'Voewood is not exclusive and we are open to anyone wanting to explore their own creativity.'

He added the festival brought attention to north Norfolk.

Tickets range from £15-£165. It is free for children under five.
