A Strictly Come Dancing champion, a former Conservative politician and top tribute acts will be some of the highlights at the Cromer Pier Pavilion Theatre this year.

A year on the pier

■This year’s Pavilion Theatre season will start with a talk by ex-Conservative politician and cabinet minister Michael Portillo on Saturday February 14 at 2.30pm. Tickets cost £15.

His talk entitled Life - A Game of Two Halves will encompass his political life, his experiences as a television presenter and passion for railways.

■Musical double act Chas ‘n’ Dave make a welcome return on Sunday March 8 at 8pm. Tickets cost £28.50.

■Firm musical favourite, The Manfreds are returning to Cromer for what will no doubt be another sell out show on Sunday March 14 at 8pm. Tickets cost £19.50.

■Strictly Come Dancing professional Pasha Kovalev, who won last year’s show with Norfolk’s Caroline Flack, will present his Life Through Dance show on Sunday, March 15 at 8pm. Tickets cost £25.

■Waterloo: The Best of Abba Tribute Show is being shown on Sunday March 29 at 8pm. Tickets cost £20.

■Brit-Award-winning singing group Blake is performing on Friday April 3 at 8pm. Tickets cost £20.

■The Magic of The BeeGees is being performed on Sunday April 5 at 8pm. Tickets cost £23.

■The Johnny Cash Roadshow is happening on Friday April 10 at 8pm. Tickets cost £19.

■The Magic of The Beatles is being shown on Saturday April 11 at 8pm. Tickets cost £23.

■Tribute act Supreme Queen Live in Concert is happening on Saturday April 18 at 8pm. Tickets cost £20.

■Kast Off Kinks is being performed on Sunday April 19 at 8pm. Tickets cost £20.

■Olly Day and the Jonathan Wyatt Big Band are playing on Saturday April 25 at 7.30pm. Tickets cost £18.

■Wartime musical We’ll Meet Again will be shown on Tuesday May 5 at 2.30pm. Tickets cost £12.50.

One the live shows will be A Night of Dirty Dancing, which will be performed

on Saturday March 28 at 8pm.

The tribute show is based on the 1987 American romantic coming-of-age drama film starring Patrick Swayze and Jennifer Grey.

A Night of Dirty Dancing will feature all the songs from the film including Be My Baby, Hungry Eyes, Big Girls Don’t Cry, Love Man and I’ve Had the Time of My Life.
