Cromer Pier’s annual children’s variety show has got under way with an exciting line-up of music, magic and comedy to keep kids entertained during the long summer holidays.

Schools Out features the cast of Cromer’s famous Summer Seaside Special and includes something for children of all ages.

This year’s show features illusions and magic from Dain Cordean, comedy and juggling by Ben Langley and a hand balance and contortion act by Karina Grigorieva.

The Seaside Special Dancers will also be making an appearance along with vocalists Rob McVeigh and Sophie Bloom. Together they will be performing dance routines with music from Olly Murs, Jessie J, Chitty Chitty Bang Bang, Maroon 5, Rhianna and Pixie Lott.

The variety show has been devised, directed and choreographed by Andy Young, who has been a seaside special dancer for seven years and whose dancing credits include the UK tour of the West End show Tommy and the BBC reality show How Do You Solve a Problem Like Maria.

Julie Howes, of Cromer Pier, said: “Seaside Special Schools Out is fun and energetic and really does have something for everyone. Young children will love Me Ol’ Bamboo from Chitty Chitty Bang Bang and there are pop songs for the teenagers.”

Schools out runs every Friday at 3pm until August 31. Tickets cost £10 per person and are available by calling the Box Office on 01263 512495. The performance is suitable for children aged three and upwards.
