Replete with comic, cruel and repugnant characters, Charles Dickens’ semi-autobiographical novel David Copperfield follows a vulnerable boy on his journey to manhood.

It is a story, adapated for the stage by Stephan Drury, of the struggle against poverty and obscurity: a story of loss, loneliness and the betrayal of innocence.

Dickens’ favourite novel is brought to the stage with all its dark comedy by Mad Dogs & Englishmen Theatre Company at Pulham Market Memorial Hall on Friday, October 26, at 7.30pm in this fast-paced and faithful adaptation.

Directed by Ann Courtney, the cast of two capture the hilarity and pathos of Dickens’ writing with finesse, depth and ingenious dexterity.

Tickets £8 in advance / £10 on the door. To book, call Sue Hewitt on 01379 676602.

Bar, refreshments and raffle. Proceeds to Memorial Hall funds.
