She had a tough week after ending up in the bottom two last Saturday, but Caroline Flack put it all behind her to wow the Strictly Come Dancing crowds in Blackpool.
Dancing a jive to Elton John’s Crocodile Rock, Caroline particularly impressed Bruno Tonioli, who was the only judge to give her a 10.
Head judge Len Goodman, who gave her nine, said: “If you are in the dance-off this week I’m going to run to the end of the pier and dive off naked. You can’t half flick, Flack.”
Craig Revel-Horwood, who also gave her nine, said: “I thought you executed that with military precision.”
Topped off by a nine from Darcey Bussell, the total score of 37 saw Caroline waltz through to next week’s competition, one step closer to claiming the glitterball trophy for Norfolk.
The latest celebrity to leave the competition was tennis coach Judy Murray.
Viewers’ votes had previously saved her, despite several poor performances, but her luck ran out this week and all the judges decided it was time for her to go after she was pitted against Casualty actress Sunetra Sarker in the dance-off.
The BBC was forced to apologise on Saturday when Goodman swore live on air.
He appeared to swear after expressing his delight at a performance by Blue star Simon Webbe and his partner Kristina Rihanoff.
Presenter Zoe Ball told viewers on the BBC One prime time show: : “I also would like to apologise. Len got a little bit carried away with the excitement of the dance and I’m very sorry for the bad language.”
