Bonfire and fireworks fun in north Norfolk

The winter skies of north Norfolk will be lit by bonfires and crackling banging fireworks over the coming days as the nation marks its traditional fiery farewell to Guy Fawkes.

Venues and communities will be hosting a range of events to entertain families and raise funds for good causes.

Events in north Norfolk include

Saturday November 1

Hanworth, Deers Glade caravan park White Post Road - Foolhardy Fire jugglers, hog roast, beer tent, mulled wine, candlelit procession. Gates open 6pm, procession 6.30pm, fire lit 7pm, fireworks 7.30pm. Family ticket £12, single entry £4.

Worstead White Lady fireworks and music show - in the pub car park behind Church View House from 4.30pm, with Ultra Ego at 5pm, fireworks at 6.30pm and the Booze Brothers Band at 8.30pm. Outside bar and serving hot food.

Sunday November 2

Blakeney Quay - the parish 
council’s annual event from 5pm includes a barbecue, children’s rides, tombola, musical organ. Bonfire lit at 6.45pm with fireworks at 7.30pm. Free entry, bucket collections for new equipment for the recreation field.

Wednesday November 5

Roughton St Mary’s School. Gates open 5.30pm. Entry £5 a family

Cabbell Park, Mill Road, Cromer - Suffield Park Infants and Nursery School fireworks event. Gates open 5pm, fire at 6pm, fireworks 7pm. Stilt Walkers, Bouncy Castle, Chocolate Tombola, food and a bar. Tickets £1.50 children £2.50 adults.

Friday November 7

Walcott Lighthouse Inn, Coast Road, including Lest We Forget World War One tribute and Last Night of the Proms finale. Entertainment from Dave Doughnut, Razz the Clown and Auntie Pearl. Gates open 5.30pm, first display 7.15pm, second display 8.15pm. Advance tickets family £15, single £5 via the pub (£20 and £6.50 on the night). More at www.lighthouseinn.co.uk

Saturday November 8

Corpusty, village green from 6pm

Aylsham, Bure Valley School, from 5.30pm.

Overstrand, Pauls Lane car park, free. Fire 6.45pm, display 7.30pm.
