Sheringham Players will be performing Forty Years On, first performed in 1968, at Sheringham Little Theatre from Thursday November 13 until Saturday November 15 at 7.30pm.

The group needs between eight to 10 boys aged 12-16 to complete the cast.

Forty Years On is set in a public school in the 1960s which is putting on an end of term play for parents called Speak for England, Arthur.

The youngsters are needed to play its pupils as well as act and sing.

The play within the play is about the changes that had happened to the country following the end of the Great War in 1918 and the loss of innocence and a generation of young men.

Characters range from the hearty captain of the school’s triumphant rugby team to smaller cheekier boys.

Bennett has written a postcard to the group wishing the cast members good luck.

Rehearsals for Forty Years On take place on Monday and Thursday at the Quaker Hall, Cremer Street, Sheringham, at 7.30pm. They have already started.
