Storytelling, banjo and guitar music will be used to portray the true story of two Texans at a coastal theatre.

The Many Apologies of Pecos Bill will be performed at The Hub café at Sheringham Little Theatre on Friday November 21 at 8pm.

It stars Texas-born Greg Wohead, who is now a London-based writer and performer.

Live music will be performed by Mat Martin who also helped create the piece of theatre.

The Many Apologies of Pecos Bill explores the theme of home and leaving it.

It is a story of two Texans.

One Texan, called Pecos Bill, falls in love with a cowgirl who rides on the back of a giant catfish.

Pecos Bill was raised by coyotes, used a rattlesnake as a lasso, and grew up to be the greatest cowboy of all time.

The other Texan in the production, called Greg, once passed out from exhaustion on a three-mile hike.

This was when he and Pecos Bill met and swapped stories.

Greg said: 'For me, this is a very personal show. It's about the idea of home and being far away from a place to which your identity is linked. I started making the show when I had spent enough time away from home to forget a lot of things about it and to make up a lot of things about it. I loved that, so I made a show that's basically a tall tale about real life.'

The hour-long show was developed at Battersea Arts Centre with support from The Yard, The Basement and public funding by the National Lottery through Arts Council England.

It is for people aged 13 and over and tickets cost £8.

A rustic western meal will be served for the audience and a ticket for both the show and meal costs £15.

?The little theatre will also be showing a film called Boyhood (rated 15) on Tuesday November 18 at 7.30pm.

Richard Linklater's timelapse drama tracks the growth of a young boy called Mason from childhood through to the onset of adulthood over 12 years.

Tickets cost £6 for adults or £3.50 for under 16s.

?Acoustic jazz group the Red Shadow Quartet will be performing at the theatre on Sunday November 23 at 7.30pm. Tickets cost £6 for adults. £3.50 for children under 16.
