Scientists can predict the expected change in climate over the next 25 years with some accuracy. What the scientists cannot predict are the extreme events, short of saying there will be more of them.

By 2025 the temperature, on average, is predicted to be 1C warmer than today, with years warmer than the recently hot 1997 occurring half the time. It will probably rain 5% more in winter and 5% less in summer, and with spring one and a half weeks earlier and autumn about a week later - resulting in a shorter winter.

By 2025, the sea's expansion in light of the rising temperatures, combined with ice melt, is expected to produce a sea level rise. The rise in Norfolk is expected to be about 15cm.
